Because the forms were meant to be asymmetrical, I hand-bent hot acrylic rods after heating them with a heat blanket. They are bent on multiple axes, creating a non-uniform look from different angles. These became the handles for the teapots.
Wooden dowels kept the rods in place. I used epoxy to glue them down before spackling and spraypainting the entire form. The wooden knobs were lacquered and attached last.
